FAQs

+ Do I need to extract RNA/DNA for TempO-Seq?

No, TempO-Seq works directly from crude lysates and does not require nucleic acid extraction, purification, or cDNA synthesis.

+ What types of sample can I use with TempO-Seq?

TempO-Seq works with various types of sample input. We can process lysates from cells (down to single cell input) or organoids, FFPE tissue, and liquid biopsies, amongst others. If you are unsure if your sample type will work, please feel free to contact us.

+ How many genes can I test at once?

TempO-Seq supports unlimited multiplexing from tens to tens of thousands of genes, up to whole transcriptome. We currently offer whole transcriptome panels for human, rat, and mouse. Surrogate panels are available for human, rat, mouse, and zebrafish. You can also request custom gene panels.

+ Can I customise gene panels?

Yes, we can design fully customisable panels for you. If you are interested, please contact us.

+ I am not a bioinformatician. How will I deal with the data?

Bioinformatical analysis for TempO-Seq is significantly simplified compared to RNA-Seq. We will supply you with CSV files containing gene counts, but we can also supply custom bioinformatics solutions.

+ Can I use TempO-Seq data for pathway analysis?

Yes, TempO-Seq data can be used for pathway analysis, including CMap or the US EPA-developed BMDExpress 2.

+ How much will it cost?

This is dependent on the project size, with bigger projects saving the most compared to other transcriptomic methodologies. However, TempO-Seq was designed specifically with the goal of cutting costs for transcriptome analysis, so it comes at a cost reduction compared to RNA-Seq or microarrays regardless. Furthermore, it may be cheaper to run small custom panels than doing qRT-PCR. Please contact us for more information or a quotation.
