BioClavis is a Glasgow-based R&D and services lab leveraging TempO-Seq for efficient and affordable high-throughput transcriptomics in precision diagnostics and drug & biomarker discovery.

We are a spin-out of US-based BioSpyder Technologies leveraging the proprietary TempO-Seq® targeted-sequencing transcriptomic/genomic platform technology for high-throughput molecular analysis services in the space of personalised diagnostics (including companion diagnostic development) and drug & biomarker discovery.

TempO-Seq is capable of efficiently analysing large sample numbers with fully customisable biomarker panels of tens to thousands of genes (up to the whole transcriptome) quickly and inexpensively. Importantly, TempO-Seq does not require prior nucleic acid purification and works directly from crude cell lysates or FFPE tissue (up to 27 years old) without a compromise in assay performance. In addition to these critical usability features which enable efficient work with “difficult” sample types, TempO-Seq is more affordable than traditional gene expression analyses tools, particularly at scale, making it ideally suited for larger-scale drug discovery studies.

With this technology, we are developing the next generation of affordable precision diagnostics. In addition to our own R&D efforts, we offer TempO-Seq services for drug discovery research, including companion diagnostic development, and are keen to collaborate with academic groups to enable new and exciting projects with our technology.
